Donna & Cody’s wedding day at the lovely Rocky's Lake Estate, turned out to be a gorgeous March day, which was a huge relief because of all the rain storms we had been experiencing leading up to it!! but all those storms left us a beautiful scattered cloud sky – that sometimes gave us sunshine, and sometimes gave a shade. way to keep us on our toes Mother Nature! ;)

So I just ordered this lens and I'm kind of in love. I've been trying to move away from my zoom lenses and into primes only. I have a few reasons for doing this. Obviously, the image quality but also, I really want to slow it down and be more intentional with every shot. This slower approach to photography is something I used to do with film, but since I transitioned to digital my shots per minute have increased considerably.
I love this lense for the ceremony and details, I use it to establish setting and mood with shots from far away. For couples portraits I use it for the shots that feel intimate and close. For the reception, I use it for all my dance floor shots with a flash.
